I didn't forget the "e" in "procrastinate" it just isn't #1 on my list of things to do today.
Thank God for Sinfest. That's all I have to say, otherwise I'd have gone completely bonkers this week. And even it (after reading close to 5 years worth of strips in the last couple of days) is starting to "blah" for me.
At this very moment I am making a decision. I have an interview at Belgo in 25 minutes. There is no way I can make it on time. Ok, to be honest, I made the decision not to go about 20 minutes ago when I finally weighed the positives (more money) versus the negatives (longer commute, and the boss is a total scumbag) and decided that less money for less work is fine with me since I won't feel vaguely (ok not vaguely) dirty all the time for working for that guy.
Life is almost without flavour at the moment (I refuse to give in to spell check and call it flavor, I have some small regional pride). I know that sounds all melodramatic, but it's kind of true.
At work I'm "training" which consists of not screwing up while helping everyone while not getting tips. So I've spent the week working for minimum wage (Heeyah!) and that can certainly sap one's soul. Especially since I won't get paid until two weeks from today (so 10 days after the cutoff...which seems like total crap to me). So not exactly exciting stuff.
WoW is kind of boring again. This is starting to be worrisome since it is the third week in a row where I have spent time at home, not logged in, on more than one occasion. Don't get me wrong, I tried to play today on my break, but I just didn't care. I guess it's a combination of not being able to play during the times I really want to (the raiding...new content = challenging = good) and realizing that I'm playing mostly because I can't think of anything else I want to do.
Don't get me wrong, there's tons I could/should be doing. Housework, preparing for School. Calling Telus to see if they really are never going to send a TV installer to my home (they missed another appointment on Sunday) and canceling my landline and tv since it's pretty much wasted money anyway.
Oh, and it's rained fairly consistently in the evenings, which is cutting into my getting out of the house plans.
And there's this weekend. The logistics of which are kind of up in the air while at the same time not up in the air. I really genuinely wish I hadn't promised people I'd be there. And no, this isn't a plaintive cry to be let out of my obligations. I'm fairly positive I'll have a great time, and it will be nice to see everyone. I just...I don't know...it's not a great time for this trip is all. Either last weekend, or the next one, would have been better but that's neither here nor there.
I'm dealing with the growing realization that I have a bunch of problems in my life (financial and personal) which I have created, and there is nothing I can do immediately to solve them. It's just going to take time.
